Near constant freezing when performing any action in MTG

This has been a problem for about a week now since I reinstalled Lackey.  Whenever I try almost any action, be it untapping my board or playing a card, the Lackey program will freeze for upwards of 30 seconds.  I still hear the sounds of cards being moved/played and the chime of people talking in the server and game chat, but I'm unable to do anything else.

My computer is showing no overt strain, everything else seems to be working fine, but Lackey just refuses to play without freezing every 30 seconds.

System Specs:

Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Pentium G6950 Dual Core at 2.80ghz
4 gigs of RAM

This is usually caused by out of date drivers, such as opengl. Or perhaps you have another program running at the same time that is interfering?

Only other three things running usually are Steam, Trillian, and Chrome.  It hasn't been that long since I updated my Graphics drivers.  I'll check again though.
