Timing out..
« on: May 12, 2010, 04:34:51 PM »
OK so whenever I try to update anything or download anything as far as lackey goes I get an instant Time Out error. Are is there any way to fix this? Any logs I can post to help give you more info? I haven't played on here since Dec and all really want to know is if I'm out of luck and should look for a new ccg online progy or if there is a way to fix this.

Update your pluginfinder. It should say http://www.lackeyccg.com/pluginfinder.txt

Then select the plugin you want and then select the version you want. That will fill the auto update field with the correct URL (ending in updatelist.txt). Click the "Update from URL" button and files should download. If there is a problem, tell me which updatelist.txt url you were using when you had the problem.

Trevor:  he can't download the pluginfinder through Lackey.  I gave him a copy of mine and he tried several games, including Rage and Magic, and it timed out.  It's not a plugin issue.

Exactly what pluginfinder url is he using? Can I see a screenshot if the timeout message?

Can I suggest it might be worth making a photobucket account, since I foresee needing to create a number of screenshots:
- error on pluginfinder
- error on autoupdate
- error on image downloads

etc.

I really don't know what you'll find with the screens all it says this :

Error:Timed Out while attempting to refresh the list of plugins.

Error:Timed out while updating the plugin
(http://www.angelfire.com/funky/magiclackey/high/updatelist.txt...)

Error: Time out while attempting to refresh the list of plugins (http://www.lackeyccg.com/pluginfinder.txt)

I get nothing more and nothing less than that.

Could it be possible you have some sort of firewall running that is not allowing Lackey to connect to the internet?

That was never an issue before and I turned it off and a few times to see if that was and it wasn't.
